Reiki is an ancient form of healing

Reiki is as old as humankind itself. Reiki is known by many names: energy healing, laying on of hands, prayer healing. The name Reiki means “God’s Healing” and refers to the life force surrounding every person, and everything that is alive. Reiki practitioners use their hands and minds to manipulate and clear the energy force, creating a sacred space for the body to heal.

Dr. Usui (1865-1926) was a Japanese doctor and teacher. He practiced healing using methods he learned from Buddhism, Taoism, Shintoism, Christianity, and psychology. He called his method of healing, “Reiki”, and he wrote a system and symbols to teach other people how to use the energy. Contrary to popular opinion, Dr. Usui did not invent Reiki, just as no medical doctor invented drugs. People have always used energy healing and drugs. Dr. Usui merely used a name and a written method to make Eastern energy medicine more understandable to a Western audience.

Much like anybody can go to medical school, and learn codes, tables, and symbols of drugs, anybody can learn the codes and symbols of Reiki. But also like medical school, some students are born healers, with an intuitive understanding of the human body, others only know the theory and see the body as simply a machine. Reiki symbols, practiced by someone who does not instinctively understand the human spirit and healing, can be useless at best and harmful at worst. This is why it is important to carefully choose a Reiki practitioner, or anyone else who wants to lay their hands on you. In fact, many people are practicing Reiki in the United States merely for money, and they have no idea what they are doing. Be cautious of these sellers of snake oil. They give all alternative medicine a bad name.

I am a medical intuitive

I have an inborn understanding of spirituality and healing. I have been doing energy work on people since I was a child, starting with prayer healing at church. When I grew older, I perfected my craft through formal Reiki training.I was ordained a Reiki master in a ceremony on top of a mountain in a Utah forest. It was a deeply spiritual experience.

I am also a medical intuitive. I can feel the disruptions in a person’s energy field that indicate disease. I also talk to the Holy Spirit to gain insight into healing methods. The Holy Spirit will often tell me what disease a person is dealing with. I do encourage my clients to discuss their health concerns with their doctor. Physical medicine and energy healing compliment each other.

Holy Spirit Reiki

I practice the highest form of Reiki, Holy Spirit Reiki. I let the Divine guide my thoughts and my hands as I work to manipulate and clear the energy field. The Holy Spirit is the great lover and healer of all humans. The Holy Spirit longs for people to leave behind their pain, emotional and physical, and all their fear, and awaken to the splendor of a whole life, lived in child-like wonder. Reiki is a powerful tool that the Holy Spirit uses to alleviate suffering, pain, and fear.
